Check out the hit single by Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors entitled, Live Forever. All members of the band are dedicated Christian men and women. Especially note the drummer, my son-in-law, Jon Radford. God gave me two great sons-in-law for my baby girls (and a great daughter-in-law as well!). Enjoy... Read more →

Several years ago, some friends and I were having a blast in our friend's recording studio. Ron picked up his guitar, Jeff sat down at the keyboard, and I was left with the microphone. The result? With that, I am... Peter Read more →

Below is one of my favorite artists of all time--The Rev. Dan Smith. His inspiration is contagious, and his simple-faith authenticity cannot be matched. He was pushing 90 years of age when he recorded this live session with contemporary Christian artist, Bryan Duncan, in 1992. Enjoy it. I do. With that, I am... Peter Read more →

Recently, I spoke at the annual Alabama Citizen's Action Program (ALCAP) in Montgomery, Alabama (//link). While I was there, Faith Radio host, Bob Crittenden, interviewed me, along with Dr. Joe Godfrey, Executive Director at ALCAP (//link). The questions to me centered around my book, Alcohol Today: Abstinence in an Age of Indulgence. For anyone interested, an mp3 of the broadcast is linked below. With that, I am... I had almost forgotten about this CD I bought several years ago, a fading genre of Gospel Blues. A great piece by Shack of Peasants. Unfortunately, on the video, I put "Peasant Shack". I suppose my old age continues to haunt me. Enjoy... Read more →

A few years ago, I preached a sermon series entitled "Has Anybody Seen The Will Of God? I've Misplaced It." This message, entitled "Six Keys to Understand the Will of God" was one within the series. Perhaps it may be helpful in some way to you. Grace. With that, I am... Peter Read more →

I preached this message a few years back. It is a practical exposition of a sacred phrase our Lord uttered in His prayer to His Father in John 17: "Father, I have finished the work You have given Me to do." (17:4). I entitled it then: "Making Life Count". It's amazing how, when I occasionally listen to a message I preached several years ago, how, if I had it to do over, I'd go in a different direction or focus on another nuance of the text. Also, I am amazed... Read more →

The following sermon I preached a couple of years ago. It reflects my deep conviction as I lament the frail, impotent, feel-good approaches employed by some today in their desperate attempt to 'make the Church relevant'. God's Church, as she employs her God-given power, will never cease to be relevant. *Update: Click here to subscribe to Podcast feed. It may be helpful. You may listen from your feed reader... "The Power of the Church" *Thanks to Jon, the file is now on my site. All should be able to listen...... Read more →
