Theological liberalism in the SBC? A Brief Response

Baptist Press recently published a First-Person article entitled "Theological Liberalism in the SBC?" by Rhett Wilson, freelance author, bivocational pastor, and a senior writer for The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Wilson also blogs and, in fact, blogs well. I read several of his pieces and without qualification commend them. He is a superb writer. The Southern Baptist Convention 2021: Here and Gone

Just a quick note concerning the 2021 Southern Baptist Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. While it's obvious there remains both a serious and major division among the 40,000+- churches (nobody can offer an official number, unfortunately) affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), the meeting held in Nashville was relatively quiet given the large showing of messengers (17K+), indeed the largest perhaps in the last two decades at least.
