Steve Lemke

For those interested in more on this subject, I suggest and recommend the following sources:

Ken Keathley's article on perseverence in Whosoever Will: A Biblical-Theological Critique of Five Point Calvinism, or his similar chapter in his own book Salvation and Sovereignty: A Molinist Approach, both published by B&H

David Allen's new NAC commentary on Hebrews

Christopher Bass' That You May Know: Assurance of Salvation in 1 John, also published by B&H

Dr. Lemke,

I just finished my first full read of Dr. Keathley's book, "Salvation & Sovereignty." He teases out more broadly the chapter in Whosoever Will, though his contribution to Whosoever Will is a great read.

Thanks again for making this series available for SBC Tomorrow.

With that, I am...

I agree with you and Steve Lemke Peter. Calvinists would call this doctrine Perseverence of the Saints. And there is not one thing in this post I disagree with.

Dr. Lemke,
Thank you for your direct dealings with these verses -- so very helpful!
