Thanks for reminding us about our roots as Baptist Christians who fought against state-funded religion. It's unfortunate that 100 years after this sermon, many Baptists now have their greedy hands stretched out requesting state and federal funds....

I agree with BDW, too.

I've thought lately about how it would probably be better if churches gave up the 501(c)3 tax exemption too. Not that I really want churches to have to pay taxes (I don't, if they're truly Christian). But they should not have any outside Federal interference.
